Performance isn’t just technology. The Infiniti G (S grade) uses innovative, intuitive technology to deliver a powerfully emotional, adrenaline-fuelled driving experience. Four Wheel Active Steering (4WAS) measures steering angle and vehicle speed to vary the angle of the front and rear wheels where required, giving you increased stability and confidence at higher speeds.
Based on rear wheel drive, Infiniti G’s Intelligent All Wheel Drive (AWD) gives you greater control. It automatically adapts to the road conditions and when it detects any wheel spin, sends the power to where it’s needed most – front and rear. When all wheel traction is no longer needed, the power automatically reverts to the rear wheels, giving you better handling through turns.
Infiniti’s ‘front mid-ship’ engine placement sees the compact V6 engine mounted as low and as far back behind the front axle as possible. This concentrates mass near the centre of the vehicle to create an inherently stable platform. Combined with the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), which constantly monitors steering and braking, you can drive with confidence and handle even sudden changes in direction. In wet and slippery conditions, the Traction Control System (TCS) ensures greater grip is given to your rear wheels when accelerating, but if it senses excessive wheel spin, it reduces the throttle and applies the brakes to allow you to pull away smoothly.
At the heart of the G is a potent 3.7-litre V6, 320HP engine which uses our unique VVEL (VVEL - Variable Valve Event and Lift) technology to deliver an organic ‘building wave’ of acceleration rather than jerky or peaky power delivery. The power plant responds at lightning speed and you know that the sheer power of the engine is there for one reason only – to generate the ultimate in pure driving enjoyment. Whether you choose six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) tuned to make it feel as close as possible to the feel of a manual, beautifully designed magnesium paddle shifters come as standard to provide a tactile feel, giving you complete control of the gearshift.
